You play as the god of a small round world made by Stateborn Studios. The people spread across it on their own. They farm, build towns, discover writing, gunpowder and flight, take up religions, trade, betray each other and go to war. Every building and ship is designed for them, by their age, land and culture. Your job is not to place an entire city by hand.
Use the in-game help first
The description that was public on 2026-09-27, labeled Beta 2.2, added a spoken tutorial, a full in-game Guide, a Time of Day setting and empty worlds. Those interface names are the only control hints the developer has published. This wiki does not invent button labels.
- Open the official experience and let the spoken tutorial finish.
- Open the in-game Guide before you call a meteor or flood a valley.
- Watch one settlement farm and build before you intervene.
- If you want a blank geography experiment, look for the empty-world option named in the Beta 2.2 notes. Beta 2.6 also adds new kinds of worlds to start on. The menu names for those new worlds are not published, so use the in-game Guide rather than a guessed label.
What a first session is for
Learn the autonomous loop. Note where people settle, which groups grow, and how a building's look follows the nation's age, land and culture. Then try one small intervention: rain, or a mountain that splits two groups. Save lightning, floods and meteors until you have seen a nation reach a later age. That order is editing advice. The official text does not require it, and it does not list a failure penalty for opening with a disaster.
Two ways to take part
The core description already lets you help build or help run a nation, and lets you step down and live as one of them. Beta 2.6 adds a more direct version of that: build a home and start your own village, and fight huge wars yourself on foot or in tanks and mechs. Read Live in the world before you assume you can only watch from the sky.
Wrong-game warning
Some public articles describe other god games. Those games make you place every house, spend a resource often called Willpower, or finish megastructures. None of that is in the Stateborn Studios description. If a page's steps do not match rain, lightning, mountains, floods, meteors, prayers, creed, or the Beta 2.2 and 2.6 notes, do not follow them for this experience.
Done when
You can point to one nation that farmed and built without you, you have used or deliberately refused one gentle power, and you know where the in-game Guide is. Ages, wars and the rival god are later reads: Civilizations and ages, Divine powers and War and the rival god.
